A Greeneville Man Is Behind Bars For Allegedly Using A Debit Card To Make Nearly 55-Thousand Dollars In Purchases Over A Three-Month Period. 26 Year Old Stephen Garay-Leon Is Charged With Fraudulent Use Of A Debit Or Credit Card And Identity Theft. He Was Working As A Live-In Caregiver For A Greeenville Woman And Is Accused Of Using Her Debit Card And Pin Number To Obtain Cash From Atm’s And Make Purchases Without Her Permission Or Knowledge. Garay-Leon Is Being Held In The Greene County Detentin Center Under A 60-Thousand Dollar Bond And Will Appear In Court Soon.

An Experimental Plane Has Crashed In Greene County, Sending Two Chuckey Men To A Local Hospital. 66 Year Old Old Jack Cooper And 50 Year Old Marcelino Bravo Were Taken To The Johnson City Medical Center For Their Non-Life Threatening Injuries. The Plane Went Down Thursday Afternoon Around Two O’clock At Hensley Airpark On Chuckey Pike. It Had Taken Off And Was Coming Back Around To Land In The Fly-In Community When Something Went Wrong With The Controls. The Plane Crashed Near The Runway. The New Facility, Which Replaces And Builds On The Legacy Of The Johnson City Downtown Clinic, Will Offer Patients A Wide Spectrum Of Health Care Services Under One Roof. Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Leaders Have Approved The Hiring Of Legal Counsel To Represent The Hospital’s Control Board During The Facility’s Acquisition By A Larger Health Care System. During A Meeting Yesterday, Board Chairman Glenn Tilson Was Granted Authority To Engage In Legal Counsel In The Transaction Involving The Hospital. The Hospital Was Allowing Proposals From Any Interested Larger Health Organization Through Today. A Meeting Is Set For October 18th To Consider Which Proposal Hospital Leaders Will Choose.
