Officials With Mountain States Health Alliance And Wellmont Health System Will Get A Chance Thursday To Provide The Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Board Of Control With Answers To The Board’s Questions Concerning Their Respective Proposals To Acquire The Hospital. Both Sides Will Be Allowed Time To Give Presentations On Their Revised Acquisition Proposals, Which Were Submitted To The Board Last Month. There Will Also Be A Question-And-Answer Session With Each System. The Meeting Will Take Place At Three O’clock This Afternoon In The Hospital Boardroom.
Sullivan County Has Cut It’s Free Monthly Day For County Residents To Drop Off Demolition Landfill Items. For Nearly 20 Years, The County Has Footed The Cost For County Residents To Take Their Trash Or Other Debris To The City Of Kingsport’s Demolition Landfill One Day Per Month. Lucian Lawson, The County’s Solid Waste Director Said He Just Didn’t Have The Funding To Do It Any Longer. Revenues Have Diminished Since The Opening Of A Commercial Landfill In Blountville.
