A Kingsport Police Officer Has Resigned After A Federal Indictment Was Handed Down Out Of Louisiana. Richard Chandler Remains In The Washington County Tennessee Detention Center. Chandler Resigned Last Week Following His Arrest. Since It Is A Federal Case, The U.S. Attorney’s Office Has Declined Comment On Specifics Of The Case Due To The Indictment Being Sealed. Chandler Is Reportedly The Only Northeast Tennessee Man Arrested Through The Indictment, Which Was Filed In U.S. District Court’s Western District Of Louisiana.
