A Decision To Delay The Fate Of Unicoi County Memorial Hospital’s Future Is Not Setting Well With Mountain States Health Alliance. The Hospital’s Board Of Control Put Off Talks Of A Proposed Takeover By Mountain States Health Alliance Until Later This Month. Dennis Vonderfecht, President And Ceo Of Mountain States, Says Msha And Wellmont Both Presented Takeover Proposals On The Same Day, And To Now Allow Wellmont A Second Chance Would Give Them An Unfair Advantage. Instead Of Making A Choice, The Board Will Be Accepting Proposals Until October 11th From Other Health Care Entities Interested In Acquiring The Medical Facility Through October 11th. The Board Will Meet Again October 18th.
