Now That A Referendum Has Passed Allowing The Retail Sales Of Wine And Liquor Within The Town Of Unicoi, Town Leaders Are Moving Forward With Developing Ordinances For Liquor Stores. The Referendum Passed In Last Tuesday’s Election. Now The Town Must Submit The Certified Election Results To The State’s Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The Town Can Then Develop An Ordinance And Unicoi County Leaders Must Pass The Ordinance On Two Readings. Once This Is Complete, The Town Can Begin Taking Applications For Certificates Of Compliance From Interested Parties. The Timeline On The Entire Process Is Unclear.
