An Officer-Assisted Shooting In Carter County Is Being Investigated By The Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation. Sheriff Chris Mathes Said The Shooting Happened Tuesday Afternoon Around 12:30 At A Home Behind The Dollar General Store On Ocolona Road In The Milligan Carea. Deputies Were Serving A Warrant On Kenneth Lee Brummitt. He Ran Away, And Once He Was Caught, A Fight Broke Out. One Of The Deputies Was Shot By Brummitt. Sheriff Mathes Said The Deputy And Brummitt Are Both Expected To Recover.
