Nationally, Triple A Forecasts 43.6 Million Americans Will Travel 50 Miles Or More From Home Over The Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend. That’s A Small Increase From 2011. Despite Gas Prices That Set Calendar Day Records Almost Every Day Since August, Road Trips Continue To Make Up The Bulk Of Thanksgiving Travel. In Virginia, The Average Price Of Gas Stands At $3.25 A Gallon, Which Is Four Cents Less Than A Year Ago.
