Still no 350 for Rocket...The old ballgame...Biggio, Bonds get no
closer...Wimby on tap

UNDATED (AP) - New York Yankees hurler Roger Clemens failed in
his fourth attempt to become the eighth pitcher in major league
history with 350 wins. Clemens allowed four runs, seven hits and
three walks over six innings of last night's 4-to-0 loss at
Baltimore. He also failed to strike out a batter for the first time
in 201 starts.

UNDATED (AP) - Roger Clemens was among a record seven pitchers
in their 40s who were scheduled to start yesterday, which would
have topped the previous mark set last Friday. Greg Maddux, Tom
Glavine (GLA'-vihn) and John Smoltz won their games, while Jamie
Moyer and Woody Williams settled for no-decisions. But the Tigers
and Rangers were rained out in Detroit, preventing 42-year-old
Kenny Rogers from taking the mound.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Houston Astros second baseman Craig Biggio
popped up as a pinch-hitter yesterday at Milwaukee, keeping him
three hits shy of becoming the 27th player with three-thousand. The
Astros open an eleven-game homestand today, giving Biggio a great
chance to reach the milestone in Houston.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Outfielder Barry Bonds wasn't in the San
Francisco Giants' lineup for yesterday's loss to San Diego, keeping
him six homers away from tying Hank Aaron's career record of 755.
Bonds has hit just four home runs since May eighth, with the last
one coming Friday against the New York Yankees.

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) - Top seed and four-time defending champ
Roger Federer will try to complete his second-round match at
Wimbledon today. Federer was ahead 6-2, 7-5, 2-love yesterday when
the match was suspended by rain. Second seeds Rafael Nadal
(nah-DAHL') and Maria Sharapova have scheduled matches today, as do
Amelie Mauresmo (mohr-EHS'-moh), Serena Williams, Nikolay Davydenko
(dah-vee-DEHN'-koh) and Novak Djokovic (YOH'-koh-vihch).
