Boogie again with good food and good friends!!!

Join us for a break from the ordinary, Saturday, August 30,2008 at the Allandale Pavilion, Kingsport, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. for our annual Pig Roast and Dance.  We will serve the food at 6:00 p.m. Starting at 7:00 p.m., we will dance to the music of the Mailmen, one of the area's top bands.  Admission:  Members $8, Guests $12.

Jerry Hanger has been playing music as part of "The Mailmen", for 11 years. He can adapt to almost any musical situation. With the ability to take requests and draw upon a song base of more than 300 tunes, everyone can be entertained from any age group.  He does not use recorded background music but will be joined by David Decker of Jonesborough playing the bass guitar and Dave Gross from Blountville on the Keyboard.  Dave Gross is a music teacher at Cates Music in Johnson City.

Jerry Hanger of The Mailmen has met and performed with many, many famous artists and stars. Just a very small portion of this who's who list would contain such people as; Tim  McGraw, Charlie Daniels, Blackfoot, Marshall Tucker Band, Patty Loveless, Marty Stuart, Steppenwolf, Joan Jett, Merle Haggard, Delbert McClinton,  Mother's Finest, The Outlaws, David Allen Coe, Percy Sledge, Kansas, Confederate Railroad, John Boy & Billy, and many, many more.   

No alcohol is allowed.  Smoking will be in designated areas only. Parking security is provided at each event.  "Dressy Casual Attire" preferred. Remember,you only have one chance to make a first impression.  Come out and support your organization and...Please remember to invite your single friends.

John Drury, a cancer survivor of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, is hoping to raise awareness of the need for research into the treatment and cures for childhood cancer by Riding for Hope, a trip he hopes to complete in 26 days.
