Congratulations to Caitlin Johnson & Ray Wilson, our grand prize winners of the 98.5 WTFM Dream Wedding! They were chosen from a total of 259 entries to have their Dream Wedding come true! The bride picked out her Wedding Dress provided by Bristol Bridal Station. The groom’s Tux was provided by Moon Tuxedo. They received a Couples Massage and Mani/Pedi from The First Lady Day Spa-Boutique & Salon. Our couple customized their wedding bands courtesy of Johnson Jewelers! They invited up to 100 of their friends and family to the wedding of their dreams, saying their “I do’s” and had a 5 star event at The Banq in downtown Kingsport, followed by a reception catered by Fusion at Banq and decorated by Action Rentals with floral arrangements provided by The Potters Shed. Then they celebrated their reception with friends and family with their favorite songs spun by our own Bob Gordon’s Mobile DJ Solutions! Their wedding took place Saturday May 21, 2022! Their Story!
This dream wedding would absolutely mean the world to my fiancé and I for many reasons – but one of my favorite things about our relationship is how unexpected it was. Our’s is a story of true love that knows no Limits, the kind of love neither one of us even knew existed. When Ray and I met, we had no idea the amazing events that would unfold. Our first date was casual, we had both been on the dating scene for a while after serious relationships and did not have high hopes. But something just clicked – it felt right. After getting to know him a little better, it became clear he was “the one.” Ray is a disabled veteran, and his amazing attitude is one of the things that attracted me to him the most. He lost a lot of things serving his country, but if you ask him, he would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It’s not always easy dealing with someone who has been through that type of trauma, especially when you don’t know what to say to make it better. But we have learned to deal with it the best we can, and I know that I can always be his calm in a storm. Between becoming a step-mom to his 3 children, changing my role in his life from girlfriend to fiancé 🙂 , and managing everything else in day to day life, I stay busy! We plan to get married in May whether or not we get this dream wedding opportunity! Spring is the time of year I always wanted to get married in. We are in the early stages of wedding planning, and realizing it is a lot more work than we thought! Winning this opportunity would be a life changer for us 🙂
