Mark Andrews
I was born in Rantoul, Illinois, a small town in the middle of the state. When I was 15 my family moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and I’ve spent most of my life in the south and southeast. After having careers as a window washer, an airline pilot, art gallery owner, beat writer for the Washington Post, an A&R consultant for Bad Boy records, owner of a chain of legal recreational marijuana dispensaries in Colorado, botanist, spy novel writer, and sports agent for the likes of Tom Brady and Michael Jordan, I began my radio career in 1989. I’ve worked in radio in Myrtle Beach, SC… Mobile, AL… New Bern, NC… Raleigh, NC… Wilmington, NC… Muscle Shoals, AL… Asheville, NC and, of course, the Tri-Cities. I’m very passionate about fundraising and charity events. I love helping the community. I’ve been closely associated with Make-A-Wish, Children’s Miracle Network, United Way, American Red Cross, and Disabled American Veterans. I truly am a sucker for helping kids, soldiers and veterans. I have also been a voice-over artist for more than 20 years so you’ve probably heard me on TV. On a personal level, family means everything to me, and I married WAAAAY up to a spectacular woman who somehow deals with me and this job. I’m a very private person with a pretty low-keyed, laid-back personality. Thankfully being on the morning show means I no longer wash windows. I just peep into them.
